Safety is a priority in the Kaukauna Area School District. We strive to provide a safe, secure and respectful learning environment for all students in school buildings, on school grounds and school buses, and at school-sponsored activities.
Below, you'll find some of our school district's safety policies:
- Each school within our district is equipped with secure entrances, cameras, an intercom system, and a distinct safety protocol specific to that school.
- KASD has a zero-tolerance policy toward the use of weapons, alcohol and illegal drugs, and our drug- and gun-free zones are strongly enforced.
- Per District board Police Rule 412, our district consistently and vigorously addresses bullying, defined as deliberate or intentional behavior using words or actions intended to cause fear intimidation, physical or emotional harm; bullying/harassment behavior is prohibited in all schools, building, property and educational environments.
- KASD maintains a Police/School Liaison Officer to serve, protect and uphold the law, while serving as a resource person for student, families, the school and the community.
For more information, contact your individual school and ask about safety protocols specific to that school.
