Happy Birthday to Connor Thielen

Attention Ghosts!  Please watch your email tomorrow morning May 18th for a survey being distributed by the yearbook committee.  We will be using the surveys to help enhance the yearbook and add some humor and personality as well!  So please help us out by filling your survey out!  Thanks!

Calling all swimmers! Any boys interested in joining the High School swim team next year are invited to meet coach Heiser and learn about summer swimming opportunities with the team. Come and be part of the first year of AWK2 boys swim and dive!

The meeting will be Tuesday May 24th at 7:15am in room A147. Hope to see you there!”

Attention KHS - What are your Sources of Strength?  What helps you and your mental health?  Are you physically active?  Do you have a source of spirituality in your life?  Do you show generosity to others?  Is your family a support system for you?  Do you have strong connections with positive friends and mentors that have helped you be successful this year?  Sources of Strength would like to invite you to publicly acknowledge your positive friends and mentors THIS WEEK during lunches and the Breaking Boundaries triathlon.  Stop by the giant butterfly in the commons to choose a small butterfly,  write the name or names of friends/mentors that have made a positive impact on your life, and add it to the mural.

Attention Juniors who are planning on applying to FVTC or NWTC in the fall, please be aware that several programs open their application window starting June 1st.  There are a limited number of seats and several programs will close quickly.  Please stop in Student Services if you have questions or need help applying.

Attention Seniors:  The Horatio Alger Career & Technical scholarship program has up to $2500 scholarships available to students that plan to pursue career and technical education in a 2 year or less degree or certificate that will lead to employment.  You must demonstrate financial need and applicants must be Pell Grant eligible.  Stop in Student Services for more information.

The Heartland Business Systems scholarship of $1000 just arrived in Student Services to students with an intended major in the IT field at an accredited 2 or 4 year school.  Deadline is June 1.  Stop in today to pick up your application.

There is a $1000 Live Your Dreams Scholarship just posted in Xello for the online application.  All fields of study are eligible.  You must submit a 300-500 word essay answering, "What are your career aspirations and what would it mean to you to win this scholarship?"

Attention current Freshman & Sophomores:  The Regional Center for Math & Science (RCMS) at UW-Green is looking for students to join the Upward Bound program that serves low income, first generation college bound students.  While the program tends to have a health sciences career focus, all students are welcome.  This is a great opportunity to go on field trips, college visits and take classes from college professors while staying on campus at no cost to you.  See your counselor for more information if you are interested.
