Attention Seniors - College Goal Wisconsin is offering free FAFSA completion events to assist families with filling out the financial aid application for college. This is a great way to get free assistance and get the FAFSA form completed.  They also offer scholarship drawings for those that attend.   Go to collegegoalwi.org to register for the event.  Stop in Student Services for more information.

 

Attention Seniors:  The Herb Kohl Student Excellence Scholarship application is now available!  The foundation will award (100) $10,000 scholarships to Wisconsin high school seniors that plan to continue their education at a college, university or vocational/technical school.  Log into Xello to start your application today!  Deadline to apply is Nov 8.

 

The Diversity Club will be holding its first meeting this Friday, September 16th, in the library, during FLEX time! Please talk to Mr. Hietpas in the library if you are interested in becoming a member or just want to find out what Diversity Club is all about. 

 

Attention anyone who likes to make a difference in their community. You have an opportunity to be recognized as a Gallon Grad at Senior Awards night by meeting the criteria set forth by the Community Blood Center. You will receive cords that will recognize you as a Gallon Grad at graduation. If you want to learn more about this program, please sign up to join Miller-Flynn’s Flex on Tuesday, Sept. 13th. There will be a presenter from the Community Blood Center who will discuss the Gallon Grad program as well as how seniors can apply for the scholarship available from the CBC. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE AN NHS STUDENT TO BE A GALLON GRAD….any student can get involved, even if you can’t donate blood. 

 

Looking to bring some fantasy adventure into your school day? Mr. Hansel's Dungeons and Dragons Club will be kicking off for the first time very soon! New players will be trained on how to play, and experienced players have the opportunity to be coached on how to run a campaign. Whether you're a RPG video game fan looking to expand their gaming experience, a fan of famous "Live Play" shows like Critical Role or Adventure Zone interested in trying it for yourself, or a seasoned veteran with hours of play time under your belt; Everyone is welcome. Look for D&D Club in your Flex Time offerings for our initial meeting on Friday, September 16! See you at the table.

 

Are you interested in making a difference and volunteering in your community?  Check out Key Club!  Stop by Mrs. Becker's office for an envelope for your $15 in dues.  Our first meeting will be Wednesday, September 14th at 7:30am in the Auditorium.
