NWTC is having an Open House on Wednesday, September 27th from 3:00 - 6:00pm.  You can tour the labs and classrooms.  Apply for free. Details can be found at nwtc.edu/OpenHouse or Stop in Student Services for more information.

 

UW-Oshkosh Fox Cities is having a Fall Preview Day for any students who are interested in attending the Fox Cities campus on Wednesday, Oct 18th.  Get an in-depth look at the facilities and learn about the benefits of starting college close to home.

 

Student Services will be offering a field trip to the Wisconsin Education Fair at St. Norbert College on Sept. 27th.  This will be a very short trip, leaving at 9:30 and returning to KHS at 11:00.  At the fair, students will have the ability to talk to and gather information from over 80 colleges, military and universities from around the US.  We have a limited number of students who can attend so don't wait to stop in Student Services and pick up a permission slip.  There is no cost to attend.

 

UW-Stout’s On-Site Admissions Event is happening at Kaukauna High
School on Monday, October 9, from 9 - 11am.  To participate, simply sign up in Student Services today and get your application started and then on the day-of the event, submit your application and print it for review and you’ll receive an admission decision THAT DAY!   You will also be entered in a drawing for a $1,000 scholarship!  

 

Life Tools Tutoring will be offering a 2-day ACT test-prep course on October 14 & 21 from 8:30-12:30 at St. Ignatius School in Kaukauna.  Please register at www.LifeToolsTC.com.  The cost of this intensive 2-day course is $180.  If you have any questions, stop in Student Services.

 

The KHS Blood Drive is on Tuesday, September 26th.
To sign up for a donation time slot please stop by the commons before school, at lunch, or after school. 
Here's what you need to know:
Before the Blood Drive, register with NHS in the commons, you must be at least 16 years old.

Drink plenty of water and eat iron-rich foods leading up to and on the day of your donation. 
On The day of the Blood Drive, be there on time, bring a valid ID. Food will be provided.

Civic Engagement is reaching out to you about the 8th Annual Wing Eating Competition sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings, you can sign up outside of Mr. Roehrig's classroom near room F224. This event will take place on Wednesday, October 4th during flex time in the gym. 

 

The countdown has begun, Bailey James performs at KHS in 6 more days! Bailey is coming to KHS to share her mental health story and perform live on September 26th. Scan the QR code on the strumming the strings of hope posters in the hall to ask Bailey questions about her music and mental health journey and get a chance to win daily prizes given away starting September 19th.   All entries will be eligible to win a Bailey James signed guitar given away on the 26th during FLEX!

 

The first meeting of the KHS Diversity Club is this Friday, September 22nd, in the library during FLEX time. Everyone is welcome to join. Stop by the library to let Mr. Hietpas know if you are interested.

 

Attention Juniors:  The PSAT test is great practice for the S.A.T.  Juniors who score high enough may enter the National Merit Scholarship program.  The test will be offered on Wednesday, October 11 in Student Services.  Tests are limited and the cost is $18.  Stop in Student Services today for more information if you are interested.  DEADLINE to sign up is this week Friday, Sept 22!
