The Miracle League of the Fox Valley, a program of Goodwill, is looking for volunteers. This league offers youth with cognitive and/or physical disabilities the opportunity to play baseball in an organized, noncompetitive league.   Each athlete is assigned a buddy whose role is to be their personal cheerleader. Volunteers are also needed to be pitchers, umpires and announcers.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, stop in Student Services for more information.

Next week, in honor of Earth Day and Stop Food Waste Day, we're launching a

three-day Waste Warrior Challenge! From Monday to Wednesday, we'll be

collecting and weighing all waste generated by students during lunch. By the end

of Wednesday, we'll determine if we've successfully reduced the amount of waste

produced.

But that's not all! We'll also be competing to see which lunch period —first or

second—makes the biggest effort to reduce waste. The winning group will be

rewarded with a complimentary cookie to enjoy with their hot lunch on Thursday

the 25th!

This challenge is a collaborative effort of Chartwells, our Science, Culinary, Art

Departments, and the Custodial team to raise awareness about the impact we

have on this planet during a daily activity that can be rethought to produce a

better result.

Let's come together to make a positive impact on our environment and show that

small changes can lead to big results.
