Today is the Sept 23rd  Blood Drive. If you signed up to donate on this date,  please do the following: Show up on time to the donation location which is in the hallway by the  auxiliary gym…..bring your student ID to the auxiliary gym, continue to drink plenty of fluids all day, eat a really good breakfast, hopefully you have a short sleeved shirt on and get prepared to taste and vote on the bake-off items!! Thanks much for being a lifesaver today!!!

 

Seniors are you interested in global politics and debate? Join the first meeting of the Model United Nations Chapter at KHS! The first informational meeting will be held on October 5th during flex in P Meyers room F216. See Mr. Meyer for details of additional information.

 

A rep from Carroll University and Hamline University will be in Student Services TODAY during Flex.  Stop in for a visit if you are interested.

 

Any students interested in taking an Early College Credit or Start College Now class this spring should see Mr. Binsfeld in student services before the October 1st deadline. 

 

Tickets for the Homecoming dance will be sold the week of Homecoming during first lunch and second lunch. Tickets will be $10 each. 

 

Student Services will be offering a field trip to the Wisconsin Education Fair at St. Norbert College on Sept. 29th.  This will be a very short trip, leaving at 9:00 and returning to KHS at 10:45.  At the fair, students will have the ability to talk to and gather information from over 80 colleges, military and universities from around the US.  Stop in Student Services to pick up a permission slip.

 

Interested in attending Northeast Wisconsin Technical College or Fox Valley Tech? Northeast Wisconsin Technical College is hosting a Community Open House on Tuesday September 28th from 3-6 pm for students interested in  the Trades, STEM, Public Safety, Transportation, and Energy and Wednesday, September 29th from 3-6pm for students interested in  Health Sciences, Education, Business, Information Technology, and General Studies.

 

Fox Valley Technical College is hosting a Community Open House on October 5th from 3-6pm. Pre-registration is required for FVTC.

 

Seniors that attend an open house can apply for free at this event.  Stop in Student Services for more information.

 

A rep from UW-Stevens Point will be in Student Services during FLEX time on Tuesday, September 28.  Sign up  if you are interested.

 

Attention Sophomores & Juniors:  The PSAT test is great practice for the S.A.T.  Juniors who score high enough may enter the National Merit Scholarship program.  The test will be offered on Wednesday, October 13 in Student Services.  Tests are limited and the cost is $16.  Stop in Student Services today for more information if you are interested.  Sign up deadline is Oct. 8.

 

If you were nominated as a Peer Leader for Sources of Strength and you confirmed your participation, please check your email for an important note from Mrs. P regarding training this Friday.

 

Looking to score a spirit point during homecoming week? Bring your old plastic bags to your Homeroom FLEX teacher next Monday the 27th, before your first hour. The bags will be recycled and the grade with the most bag donations will be awarded a spirit point.

 

Attention Powder Puff Players and Coaches!!! You can pick up your t-shirts in Mrs. Xiong's room, E111 TODAY after school.

 

REMINDER Mondays Powder Puff game is at Bayorgeon Field at 7:00PM.
