What are you waiting for KHS students? Your opportunity to have a complimentary lunch, unlimited fresh baked goods, taco dip and of course the ability to save three lives is almost here. Blood drive sign-ups are still taking place by the nurses office before and after school and at both lunches. The blood drive is November 23rd. Bring a CAN  of food to earn tickets to the random gift card drawing.

A rep from the U.S. Air Force ROTC will be in Student Services during FLEX on November 30.  Sign up if you are interested.

A rep from Fox Valley Tech will be in Student Services on Wednesday, Dec 1.  Sign up in edficiency if you are interested.

The Environmental Activism club will be hosting a collection for all used products made by the company BIC. By returning these products to the company, they will be able to make a donation to the World Wildlife Fund. Make sure to bring any used products in before November ends!

Don't forget LEAD is taking a trip to the Gurnee Mall on December 4th. To attend that trip you must go to see Kevin Meyer in room E212.

Congrats once again to The Band…...the winners of the food drive competition.

The Band brought in 1,404 items and the rest of the school contributed 453. Our school contributed 1,653 pounds of food to the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry in our community. Great job KHS students and staff...thanks much for your source of strength…...gratitude and generosity!!

Reminder...if you are donating at Tuesdays blood drive...remember to bring a nonperishable food item to contribute to the contest...you could win one or more gift cards to local food establishments in our city.

Did you know that a source of strength within each of us is generosity?  One way we can acknowledge our generosity with others and ourselves is through gratitude.  Sources of Strength invites you to add a feather to "Janis the Generosity Turkey" during lunch the next few days.  Members of the group will be available during lunch today and tomorrow.  You will have the opportunity to write something or someone you are grateful for on a feather and add it to our Turkey!  Let's make Janis the most colorful feathered turkey ever!
