Kaukauna Area School District is proud to welcome Speak Up, Speak Out (SUSO) confidential reporting system and resource center to our list of resources for students, familys and community members. Created by the Wisconsin Department of Justice Office of School Safety, SUSO allows users to confidentially report tips on potential harm or criminal activities directed at school students, school employees, and schools. The SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT Resource Center can respond confidentially and quickly to get help to you or to someone who is hurting or struggling.
Tips can be submitted 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week by telephone (1-800-MY-SUSO-1), mobile app, or via the Speak up, Speak out website.
Prior to adopting this information as part of the requirements of being a Safety Grant recipient, our School Resource Officers had been advocating for a confidential tip line for students. With the Speak Up, Speak Out system, we've been able to activate this quickly; students at River View Middle School and Kaukauna High School will learn about the resource and reporting tools the week of December 15, 2020.
