She openly accepts challenges and is always willing to help someone in need. Makaley enjoys traveling, leading the dance team, and playing a casual game of "Among Us". She plans to attend St. Norbert College and major in Elementary Education. Makaley is one of the many faces that truly make Kaukauna strong!
Mr. Rob VanderHeiden
English: Maya Ebben, Grade 11
Maya is a very conscientious student who always does outstanding work. She is a very strong writer and an avid reader who enjoys participating in class and leading her peers. More importantly, Maya goes out of her way to help others who need it. We had a transfer student move to the district recently, and Maya shared her work with this student to help him get "up to speed." She also offered to help him find his way to his next class, and showed kindness and compassion to someone who didn't know anyone or anything about how the school operated. Maya is an excellent student and an even better person who deserves to be student of the month. Congratulations, Maya.
Mr. Keith VandenHeuvel

Music: Logan Young, Grade 9
Logan Young has demonstrated respect, responsibility and engagement during both our in-person and virtual days of choir. I can always count on him to have his work completed and turned in and he asks clarifying questions if he doesn't understand things. His answers demonstrate thoughtfulness and a desire to better understand and be a better citizen.
Ms. Kimberly Meader
Physical Education / Health: Alexa Kinas, Grade 9
I have the pleasure of having Alexa in Health this trimester and it has truly been a treat! Rarely do teachers get the privilege of working with a student who routinely/habitually goes above and beyond in everything she does, but Alexa is that student. I can count on her to not only have all her work turned in but the thoroughness and intelligence that Alexa exhibits is second to none. It is a pleasure to read her assignments. Alexa is also a leader in the classroom, leading by example. She takes the lead by answering questions, asking thought provoking questions, by treating her peers with respect and simply being a super person. Thank you Alexa for being the kind of student and young adult I look forward to working with each and every day. Keep up the fantastic work!!
Ms. Karla Miller-Flynn

Taylor is the type of student that makes teaching enjoyable. He brings humor and lightheartedness, in addition to the work ethic needed for AP Physics. He asks questions to better his understanding and is willing to work with his classmates and help them when needed. He is willing to listen to others and get their input. Thank you Taylor.
Mr. Dan Mader
Social Studies: Jenna Rankinen, Grade 9
Jenna embodies all the qualities of a good student. She chose to challenge herself and take AP human geography this year and she has been excelling in the class. Jenna is very attentive and has begun to open up, share answers, and discuss her thoughts during class. Jenna’s reading notes and assignments are extremely well thought out and organized. She prepares herself for every assessment and actively takes part in the learning process. In addition, Jenna is very respectful, friendly, and a calming presence in the classroom. I’m very proud of Jenna and hope she continues to take social studies elective classes in the future.
Ms. Salena Bartel

Parker has exhibited exceptional skill, understanding and knowledge in learning how to operate different CNC vertical mills as an Independent Study student. Parker has been employed as a machinist at a local machining company in our Youth Apprenticeship program for the last 2 years. He has the intellect and leadership qualities many of our YA companies seek. Parker has developed into a responsible young man who accepted the responsibility of being a responsible student as well as being a valued employee. Parker has engaged in many of the challenging classes in the TAE program and has excelled.
