Pop Quiz KHS Ghosts – True or False? There is no substitute for human blood? The
answer is TRUE. When hospital patients need blood, they receive transfusions that come from
the volunteer blood donors…..that could be you!! NHS is sponsoring a blood drive on the 24th
and 29th Sign-ups are taking place in the commons by the nurse’s office, during both lunches
and after school. Sign up to be a blood donor…sign up for life!!!

 

KHS boys soccer is looking for players.  Anyone interested in playing is encouraged to come out and play.  No experience necessary.  Practices are 4-6:15 on the soccer field.

 

Attention Seniors:

Want to save money on your College Applications? There are several UW Colleges that are offering free applications now-October.  Stop in Student Services for more information.

 

Seniors if you are planning on using the Common Application for your college applications, please meet with your School Counselor to verify that your application is complete.

 

Any students interested in the Early College Credit Program or Start College Now this spring should see Mr Binsfeld in student services before the deadline of October 1st.  Students should check Edficiency for Flex time sessions available starting September 18th with Mr Binsfeld.


Attention Seniors:  The 2021 Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship information is now available online at enf.elks.org/MVS.  


The VFW Voice of Democracy Patriotic Audio Essay Competition application is now available in Student Services to students in Grades 9-12.  Students compete by writing and recording an audio essay on this year's theme, "Is This the Country the Founders Envisioned?" 

 

A virtual visit with Central Michigan University will be held on Sept 21 during FLEX time.  A virtual visit with Colby College in Maine will be held on Sept 22 during FLEX time.  A virtual visit with UW-Oshkosh will be held on Sept 24 during FLEX time.  Sign up if you are interested in learning more about any of these schools.

 

Wisconsin Education Fairs will be hosting virtual college fairs on Sept. 16th, October 7th and November 8th.  Over 150 colleges, universities, specialty schools and military branches will be available to explore.  They will also offer financial aid presentations.  Please visit wefs.org for more information and to register.

 

Gamers Club will be starting up again this year on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays in room E222 for both lunches starting September 14th.  Hang out in a smaller lunch setting with opportunities to meet new people, play video and board games, do puzzles, or just enjoy your lunch! Reminder to students:  parking permits are required in order to park in the parking lot.  If you still need a parking permit, please pick up an application in the high school main office.  Bring the completed application to Mrs. Brouch's office along with your valid driver's license and $15.
