Meals for Students During Closing

Beginning Wednesday, March 18, Kaukauna Area School District, in collaborationwith Chartwells, will be making meals available to our students. All children 18 and younger are eligible to pick up free lunch and breakfast. Pick up will be in the River View Middle School drop-off parking lot from 9:00-10:00 a.m. The program will run Monday through Friday each week while our schools are closed. Meals will be served from the Kaukauna Area School District delivery truck - look for us in the parking lot! All meals come in a grab-and-go bag, so as not to promote congregation at the delivery location. Registration is not required. There are no forms to fill out and no names are written down.Parents and guardians are able to pick up meals for those children unable to attend. We understand some students/parents will be unable to make it to this location. Should this be a concern, please call (920) 759-6122. We will make arrangements to get meals to those students that cannot make it to River View during the scheduled distribution times. Additionally, we will now be serving these meals during our regularly-scheduled Spring Break, April 6-10, 2020. Chartwells and the Kaukauna Area School District are committed to providing meals for the children in our Community. We understanding the importance of offering nutritious meals to children and will run this service as an extension of the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), which is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. All meals will be provided to eligible children regardless of race, color, national origin, age, gender or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of meal service.
