Happy Birthday to Gaven George & Alaina Hartjes
Congratulations to the KHS Forensics team for competing at your first tournament of the season at Appleton East! Five students placed in the top 5 and brought home medals! Congrats to Bailey Bidwell and Aubrey Norred for placing 5th in Play Acting, Grayson Parsons and Lauren Hinkens for placing 4th in Play Acting, and Kelsee Crogan for placing 5th in Poetry!
NWTC will be hosting another Campus Preview Day on Friday, Feb 4. This is a great opportunity for prospective juniors and seniors to tour the campus and explore potential careers. Time options are 9-10:30am and 12-1:30pm. Registration is required. Register online and speak with your counselor about attending!
Attention Seniors: The John Aman Memorial (Unison Credit Union) scholarship application is available both online and paper copies in Student Services. This $2000 scholarship will be awarded to students who best mirror the credit union philosophy of "people helping people" and who have learned the importance of volunteerism and giving back to his or her community.
The Outagamie County Bar Association application is also available in Student Services. This $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a student who will be pursuing education in law or criminal justice.
Hey Kaukauna High School – National Honor Society will be hosting a blood drive with the Community Blood Center on Thursday, February 17th. Donating blood is easy and it saves lives!! To participate you must be 16 or older...16 year olds need a parent permission slip signed. You must weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Sign-ups taking place in the commons by the nurse’s office, during both lunches and after school.
If you are interested in being a Gallon Grad by donating blood or getting involved in the blood drives in a different manner, or want to simply learn more about this amazing program, request Miller-Flynn's Flex session on Jan 31 or Feb. 2nd.
Kaukauna High School for the past 10 years has led all FVA schools with the most Gallon Grads....let's keep the tradition going :)
Any senior interested in applying for Local Scholarships that missed the mandatory meeting held on the 26th can reach out to their Counselor in Students Services for a video to watch. This meeting or watching of the video is mandatory and you will not be able to apply without following that step. Stop in Student Services for more information.
Attention seniors planning to attend a Technical College in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Technical Excellence Scholarship application is now available in Student Services. The Technical Excellence Scholarship awards 3 students a scholarship in the amount of $2, 225 a year for up to 3 years. This is a points based scholarship and not based on GPA so any senior planning to attend a Technical College is encouraged to apply. Stop in Student Services for more information.
