The mission of the KASD School Counseling Program is to enhance student achievement. School Counselors help all students become responsible, self-motivated citizens who are prepared for the challenges of a rapidly-changing society.
School Counseling curriculum content is delivered in a systematic manner to all students using the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards, adapted from the American School Counseling Associates. All personal information shared with a counselor is confidential unless it involves self harm, harm to others, abuse or neglect. The law requires school counselors to report this information to parents or appropriate agencies. If the school counselor needs to discuss student's situation with others, it will be done so with discretion and the student's best interest in mind.
